History

When it comes to the industry's history as a whole, you can't talk about major accomplishments without talking about Kawasaki PWCs. In the 1960s, Clayton Jacobson II designed the first PWC prototypes, which he took with him to Kawasaki in 1970. This design would eventually become the JET SKI. In 1972, they released the very first stand-up style PWC ever, paving the way for a new kind of powersports vehicle.

In 1973, Kawasaki entered the American market and they hit the ground running with the JET SKI, which quickly became incredibly popular among the American public. This was in part thanks to the powerful two-stroke engine and flat hull design, which made riding smoothly on the water much easier. In fact, they were so popular that the success continued throughout the '80s and '90s. Since then, the company has continued to improve the JET SKI model to give you better performance and a thrilling on-water experience.
